Today, those who call themselves by the Name of Jesus are about to face the greatest crisis they have ever had to face. This may seem hard to believe in this time of blessing and prosperity when we don’t have to worship in hiding and fear of persecution in America, but it is a fact. For it is now that the plan has been set into action for all churches to unite on common points of doctrine. All the suffering and persecution of God's people who fought to maintain the purity of God's doctrine through the ages is about to come to an end. It began many years ago with what is know as the “ecumenical” movement, a phrase coined by the Catholic Church who began the movement, to get protestants to accept them as “Christian brothers” who didn’t need to be evangelized and “saved” from idolatry to today’s movement by the UN to bring together all the world’s major religions and America’s TBN, bringing together all From Catholic to Baptist, A/G to independent and non-denominational.
Every day the TV features various preachers and prophets speaking of how this "unity" will accomplish God's work and how God is using it to reach the world for Christ. The truth is that it will in reality finish a "work", but not the work of God that they claim will bring untold millions to Christ and bring back the Messiah.
Let’s go back for a moment to Christ’s day. Soon after the Lord Jesus left this earth, the apostles warned of false prophets and what Paul called grievous wolves in Acts 20:29, that would come into the church. They warned against false doctrines, traditions of men and doctrines of devils. We know that false doctrines and even pagan practices entered into the Christian faith and was culminated when Charlemagne proclaimed himself the first pope and began the Catholic Church, making “Christianity” the religion of the empire and starting a campaign of forced conversions. We know about the decline and apostasy of the church as a whole then and today’s apostate Christian church is no different. The Reformation brought back the Word of God to the people in their own language and brought them back to a salvation by faith though grace and not of works and their was some degree of restoration of truth and purity of faith in the church over the next few centuries.
But it was in the United States of America, that the true purity of the faith was given the chance to grow and thrive because of the passion and love the early founding fathers had for living for God and by the Word of God, and being able to freely worship God and serve Him without someone telling you how to believe or what you must believe. This was the first country with true freedom or spirit and religion to worship and serve God for true Christians, without persecution. And it was this country that would be uppermost in sending missionaries to the world to complete the spreading of the gospel. But now, just as the work is about to be finished, the churches that once fought so hard to remain free of the influence of "Apostate Christianity" are joining with it. As Paul Crouch said on TBN, “I am not a protestant because I have nothing to protest. “ But every true believers life and faith is a protest against all man-made and false religion and society that doesn’t know God.
The reasoning of those who are fighting for this unity is that there is "strength" in numbers. They say they can accomplish much more for the kingdom of God united and working together than separately. They say, are not we all "God's children?" They say that separately, standing in our own doctrines, we can never hope to reach the world for Christ, but if we will unite on our common ground and forget our differences, then we will become greater and stronger and the world will see that we are united and not fighting each other, but a common enemy, the devil, and they will come to Christ. They believe that by setting aside doctrinal differences, something that has cost many a true Christian their lives, as a martyr, that we can do more and reach more for Christ. According to their stand and “belief”, anyone who says that they are a Christian - is! Anyone who confesses to be saved – is! Anyone who says they believe Jesus died for their sin and made a profession of faith, is now eternally saved, sealed and headed for heaven. Can this possibly be true, no matter what you believe and if what you believe is contrary to the Word of God? Words and claims come easy and don’t necessarily mean anything. Because I give mental assent to the historical facts of Jesus is not the faith in Him that the Bible speaks of. Jesus said, “You must be born again.” There is a tremendous different in knowing about Jesus and knowing Jesus. There is a big difference in knowing him subjectively and knowing him objectively. Do you really believe that everyone who says they love God and know him and serve him does? Did not the Pharisees claim to be God’s children? And did not Jesus tell them they were of their father the devil? Did not Paul think he was serving God and doing him a favor in persecuting Christians, putting them in jail and stoning Stephen? Can you honestly believe that every seeming miracle is of God and that every seeming supernatural act is of God? There are three kinds and sources of all these things, including “miracles of healing.” There are those that are simply fraud, there are those that are real and of God, and then there is what the Bible calls “signs and lying wonders.” Even the magicians of Egypt copied some of the supernatural acts of Moses. Let us consider these scriptures:
Matthew 7:15-16 “Beware of false prophets, which come to you in sheep's clothing, but inwardly they are ravening wolves. Ye shall know them by their fruits. Do men gather grapes of thorns, or figs of thistles?... 21-23 “Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven. Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works? And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart From me, ye that work iniquity.” 1John 4:1 “Beloved, believe not every spirit, but try the spirits whether they are of God: because many false prophets are gone out into the world.” Jeremiah 23:14-18 “I have seen also in the prophets of Jerusalem an horrible thing: they commit adultery, and walk in lies: they strengthen also the hands of evildoers, that none doth return from his wickedness: they are all of them unto me as Sodom, and the inhabitants thereof as Gomorrah. Therefore thus saith the LORD of hosts concerning the prophets; Behold, I will feed them with wormwood, and make them drink the water of gall: for from the prophets of Jerusalem is profaneness gone forth into all the land. Thus saith the LORD of hosts, Hearken not unto the words of the prophets that prophesy unto you: they make you vain: they speak a vision of their own heart, and not out of the mouth of the LORD. They say still unto them that despise me, The LORD hath said, Ye shall have peace; and they say unto every one that walketh after the imagination of his own heart, No evil shall come upon you. For who hath stood in the counsel of the LORD, and hath perceived and heard his word? who hath marked his word, and heard it?” 1Timothy 4:1 “Now the Spirit speaketh expressly, that in the latter times some shall depart from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits, and doctrines of devils.”
What will happen when all of "Christianity" is unified? Will the "good" of the few rub off on the many that are "bad"? OR are we in danger of being deceived by these "false" teachers, and what happens if we are? Jesus said a little leaven leavens the whole lump. 1Corinthians 5:6-7 “Know ye not that a little leaven leaveneth the whole lump? Purge out therefore the old leaven, that ye may be a new lump, as ye are unleavened. For even Christ our passover is sacrificed for us.” Leaven is corruption – sin in the camp. He didn’t say that the good will rub off on the bad, but the corruption of the bad would spoil the good. That is why we are told to come out and be a separated people. We must come out of this great spiritual whore “Come out of her, my people, that ye be not partakers of her sins, and that ye receive not of her plagues” (Revelation 18:4). Isaiah 52:11 “Depart ye, depart ye, go ye out from thence, touch no unclean thing; go ye out of the midst of her; be ye clean, that bear the vessels of the LORD.” Is there a danger of deceit from within that is more powerful than anything outside the church?
Isaiah 9:16 “For THE LEADERS OF THIS PEOPLE CAUSE THEM TO ERR; and THEY THAT ARE LED OF THEM ARE DESTROYED.” Jeremiah 5:30-31 “A wonderful and horrible thing is committed in the land; The prophets prophesy falsely, and the priests bear rule by their means; and my people love to have it so: and what will ye do in the end thereof?” Jeremiah 23:21-22 “I have not sent these prophets, yet they ran: I have not spoken to them, yet they prophesied. But if they had stood in my counsel, and had caused my people to hear my words, then they should have turned them from their evil way, and from the evil of their doings.” 25-27 “I have heard what the prophets said, that prophesy lies in my name, saying, I have dreamed, I have dreamed. How long shall this be in the heart of the prophets that prophesy lies? yea, they are prophets of the deceit of their own heart; Which think to cause my people to forget my name by their dreams which they tell every man to his neighbour, as their fathers have forgotten my name for Baal.” 32 “Behold, I am against them that prophesy false dreams, saith the LORD, and do tell them, and cause my people to err by their lies, and by their lightness; yet I sent them not, nor commanded them: therefore they shall not profit this people at all, saith the LORD.” 2Timothy 4:3-4 “For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears; And they shall turn away their ears from the truth, and shall be turned unto fables.”
One of the things these harlot TV preachers do is they steal or copy from each other’s false doctrines. When one comes up with something new, some “new” revelation or doctrine, soon they are all teaching and adding to what the first said, especially if they see that the people love it or that it will help them raise money. For that, they will pervert any scripture or use them out of context and make them say or mean what they do not – all to rob the unsuspecting naive people who listen to them.
2Peter 2:1-3 “But there were false prophets also among the people, even as there shall be false teachers among you, who privily shall bring in damnable heresies, even denying the Lord that bought them, and bring upon themselves swift destruction. And many shall follow their pernicious ways; by reason of whom the way of truth shall be evil spoken of. And through covetousness shall they with feigned words make merchandise of you: whose judgment now of a long time lingereth not, and their damnation slumbereth not.”
Being led astray by false teachers is NOT excusable by God, for He has continually warned us about them and their doctrines and told us to beware and separate from them. Note the importance and urgency in the scriptures.
Acts 20:29-30 “For I know this, that after my departing shall grievous wolves enter in among you, not sparing the flock. Also of your own selves shall men arise, speaking perverse things, to draw away disciples after them.” 2Corinthians 11:4 “For if he that cometh preacheth another Jesus, whom we have not preached, or if ye receive another spirit, which ye have not received, or another gospel, which ye have not accepted, ye might well bear with him.” 2John 1:9-11 “Whosoever transgresseth, and abideth not in the doctrine of Christ, hath not God. He that abideth in the doctrine of Christ, he hath both the Father and the Son. If there come any unto you, and bring not this doctrine, receive him not into your house, neither bid him God speed: For he that biddeth him God speed is partaker of his evil deeds.” 1Timothy 4:16 “Take heed unto thyself, and unto the doctrine; continue in them: for in doing this thou shalt both save thyself, and them that hear thee.”
Your very salvation depends upon what you believe in. For it is not just that you believe in something but the truth for in John8:32 Jesus said, “And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.” False doctrine will do the opposite, it will but you in bondage. Matthew 16:6 “Then Jesus said unto them, Take heed and beware of the leaven of the Pharisees and of the Sadducees.” 11-12 “How is it that ye do not understand that I spake it not to you concerning bread, that ye should beware of the leaven of the Pharisees and of the Sadducees? Then understood they how that he bade them not beware of the leaven of bread, but of the doctrine of the Pharisees and of the Sadducees.” Were these not the church leaders of the day who claimed to serve the same God and have the same father in heaven?
The greatest danger we face is NOT from the unbeliever, but those who claim to be believers and teach false doctrine and so there are many warnings and admonishings concerning doctrine.
Romans 16:17-18 “Now I beseech you, brethren, mark them which cause divisions and offences contrary to the doctrine which ye have learned; and AVOID THEM. For they that are such serve not our Lord Jesus Christ, but their own belly; and by good words and fair speeches deceive the hearts of the simple.” Isaiah 8:20 “To the law and to the testimony: if they speak NOT according to this word, it is because there is NO light in them.” Jude 1:3-4 “…it was needful for me to write unto you, and exhort you that ye should earnestly contend for the faith which was once delivered unto the saints. For there are certain men crept in unawares, who were before of old ordained to this condemnation, ungodly men, turning the grace of our God into lasciviousness…” 1Timothy 6:3-4 “If any man teach otherwise, and consent not to wholesome words, even the words of our Lord Jesus Christ, and to the doctrine which is according to godliness; He is proud, knowing nothing…”
But is it really so dangerous for all the churches to work together? Brethren, there is NO greater danger that true believers face today. It is easy to recognize those who make no claim to believe or are of a false religion like Hinduism or Buddhism; but Satan knows the Bible far better than any human alive, and it is those who are led of him that can appear to be the most "godly" ON THE SURFACE while introducing their lies cleverly intermingled with the Word of God to deceive the unsuspecting.
2Corinthians 11:14 “And no marvel; for Satan himself is transformed into an angel of light.15 Therefore it is no great thing if his ministers also be transformed as the ministers of righteousness; whose end shall be according to their works.” Colossians 2:4 “And this I say, lest any man should beguile you with enticing words... 6 As ye have therefore received Christ Jesus the Lord, so walk ye in him:...” 8 “Beware lest any man spoil you through philosophy and vain deceit, after the tradition of men, after the rudiments of the world, and not after Christ.” Matthew 15:9 “But in vain they do worship me, teaching for doctrines the commandments of men”
To follow any "man", whether it is a teacher, preacher, evangelist, prophet, or father or mother, etc.- is wrong, if they are leading us away from Christ and the truth of His Word. We must listen to the voice of and follow only that of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. Jesus told us in John 10:27; “My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me.” Also we were told “Howbeit when he, the Spirit of truth, is come, he will guide you into all truth” (John 16:13). 1John 5:6: “And it is the Spirit that beareth witness, because the Spirit is truth.” We do NOT unite with those we know to have corrupt beliefs, even though we may share some common beliefs. Let us consider these verses of scripture:
Deuteronomy 13:1-4 “If there arise among you a prophet, or a dreamer of dreams, and giveth thee a sign or a wonder, And the sign or the wonder come to pass, whereof he spake unto thee, saying, Let us go after other gods, which thou hast not known, and let us serve them; Thou shalt not hearken unto the words of that prophet, or that dreamer of dreams: for the LORD your God proveth you, to know whether ye love the LORD your God with all your heart and with all your soul. Ye shall walk after the LORD your God, and fear him, and keep his commandments, and obey his voice, and ye shall serve him, and cleave unto him. And that prophet, or that dreamer of dreams, shall be put to death…” Revelation 2:2 “I know thy works, and thy labour, and thy patience, and how thou canst not bear them which are evil: and thou hast tried them which say they are apostles, and are not, and hast found them liars.” Acts 17:11 “These were more noble than those in Thessalonica, in that they received the word with all readiness of mind, and searched the scriptures daily, whether those things were so.” So it is wise to compare what a man says with the known truth of God’s Word, which alone is eternal and eternally settled in heaven. This is why the scriptures tell us in Romans 3:4: “…let God be true, but every man a liar.”
Psalm 4:3 “But know that the LORD hath set apart him that is godly for himself: the LORD will hear when I call unto him.”
While Christ walked on this earth He carefully explained the transition from the "old covenant" to the "new covenant" to His disciples - any and all changes were explained and foretold by Him. He delivered His doctrine to man Himself, the eternal Word of God of which He came to reveal to man and then the time came for Him to ascend into Heaven, to the right hand of His Father. The faith and doctrine that He came to personally deliver to man was to never change or be altered. We were told in Hebrews 12:1-2 “God, who at sundry times and in divers manners spake in time past unto the fathers by the prophets, Hath in these last days spoken unto us by his Son…” Paul told us in Acts3:22-23; “For Moses truly said unto the fathers, A prophet shall the Lord your God raise up unto you of your brethren, like unto me; him shall ye hear in ALL things whatsoever he shall say unto you. And it shall come to pass, that every soul, which will NOT hear that prophet, shall be destroyed from among the people.” We can find the doctrine of the kingdom of God in the words of Christ and if we will not even believe His Words then how can we even claim to be Christians?
Yet it was not long before there began to creep into the body of Christ heresies and false teachings. The attempt to popularize Christianity led to the transference of pagan traditions to the practices of the church and this has continued until the true faith was almost unrecognizable. Those of the true faith were once again forced to hide; they suffered the greatest persecution NOT at the hands of pagans but at the hands of those who had perverted the faith and claimed to be followers and believers in Christ.
Many believe that since the gift of eternal life is a free gift, there in nothing that we have to do to obtain it but ask for it, after which there are no requirements or strings attached. All we have to do is make a one time simple “profession of faith” and we are eternally saved, sanctified and sealed for heaven and possess all that God has promised His Children. Yet the faith that we call Christianity is just as much a covenant as the one that God made with Abraham. And by necessity a covenant is a binding, unchangeable, unalterable agreement between two parties, this one between God and man. Psalm 89:34 “My covenant will I not break, nor alter the thing that is gone our of my lips.” God has never made a covenant or a promise without a requirement from man. When He made covenant with Abraham, He told Abraham what was required of him for his part of the covenant. God tells you what he requires of you, it isn’t your choice of how you will serve him or what you will offer or give to him. Just as God rejected Cain’s offering because it was not what He required, so too will those be rejected who choose to honor man and his laws that are OPPOSED to what God requires. There is much in the scriptures about covenant and it’s cost and requirements. First of all there was no covenant without the shedding of blood, it cost the blood of one who was innocent, in this case Jesus, the Lamb of God. He gave us His Word as the New Covenant of His Blood, that is the core of Hebrews chapters 8-10! Second there were requirements and consequences for breaking the covenant. The penalty for breaking a covenant was death! They said something like this in making the covenant, “If I break this covenant, let it be done unto me as was done unto this sacrifice.” Speaking of the sacrificed animal that was killed to shed its blood for the covenant. Remember when God “cut the covenant” with Abraham? Cutting the covenant refers to cutting the animal in half and separating the parts.
And although the center of the Gospel and faith is: “For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast” according to Ephesians 2:8-9, salvation and Christianity is a divine exchange called covenant in which we must lay down our life and will to serve and do His will in exchange for His life. Simply put it is an exchange of our life for His life, our sins for His forgiveness, which includes the turning from and ceasing of continual sinning and our disobedience and rebellion for His will and purpose. You cannot receive His life without surrendering your life to Him and letting Him become your Lord and therefore Savior. That is the very core of what repentance is and becoming a Christian. No, you can’t do anything to deserve or earn His eternal life or forgiveness of sins, but it will cost you the surrender of your life to His Lordship to receive that life He offers. We have to cooperate with the grace of God in our salvation. He must believe Him, which corresponds to Obeying Him. In scripture they are interchangeable. From God’s point of view, to believe Him is to obey His commandments and men do not obey because they truly do not believe. Believe what? They do not believe that God will judge all sin and that you can’t get by with sin just because you say you believe in Jesus and that you gave Him your sin. Did You? Furthermore, Salvation is a relationship with the one who died for you and gave you life. In a relationship there must of necessity be fellowship and communion. We maintain our relationship with Him by studying His Word, taking it to heart and living by it, prayer, and worship and by living the Christian life. This requires knowing the truth and the difference between that which is of God and that which is of the flesh, or the doctrines and traditions of men. God does not give us the privilege and pleasure of compromising His Word, of picking and choosing what we will accept and obey and that which we don’t want to because it is not to the liking and comfort to our flesh. Compromise is a one-way ticket to spiritual death. God never intended for you to look like the world, smell like the world, act like the world and use the ways and methods of the world as a method of witnessing to the world and bringing others to Christ. We were not told to bring the ways and things of the world into the Church. Salvation comes because men are brought under conviction by the Holy Spirit and brought to true heartfelt confession of sin and turning from sin. 2Corinthians 7:9-10 “Now I rejoice, not that ye were made sorry, but that ye sorrowed to repentance: for ye were made sorry after a godly manner, that ye might receive damage by us in nothing. For godly sorrow worketh repentance to salvation not to be repented of: but the sorrow of the world worketh death.” We are to come out of the world and not be a part of it – period. If the world can’t tell that we are totally different and that our life and testimony brings conviction and makes them uneasy to be around us then we are not being spiritual salt and light as Jesus said His disciples would be.
The plan has been set into action to undo the work of those who fought so fiercely for the preservation and restoration of the true faith passed down by Christ and His disciples. The plan is what some have referred to as a "one world religion", but it is actually a plan for all the "churches" to unite under "common points of doctrine", for the purpose of "spreading the Gospel of Jesus Christ". But this "unity", which WILL in some form come to pass, will ultimately NOT revolve around "common points of doctrine", but instead it will be based upon COMPROMISE of the truth. Yet we were told to “earnestly contend for the faith which was once delivered unto the saints” Jude 1:3.
To the masses of believers who have remained in ignorance of the true Biblical teachings and taught instead the doctrines, traditions and theories of men, they will think this new found unity of the "church" is of God. They will see it as the answer to the spiritual "death" that has come upon the world. But like a serpent slowly slithering in the grass, undetectable to the eye, the true character of this "unified church" will begin to unfold. The little compromises made by all of the churches in the beginning will soon be met with bigger and more radical ones. But the ball will already be rolling and none will be able to back out. Then suddenly, the "serpent" strikes and liberty of conscience will be no more. Religious laws will be issued which, although seemingly "good and moral", will NOT be exactly as God Spoke them From Mt. Sinai, and then wrote the tablets of stone with His Own Finger.
Revelation 14:9-10 “If any man worship the beast and his image, and receive his mark in his forehead, or in his hand, The same shall drink of the wine of the wrath of God.” The forehead speaks of the mind and will and your hands speak of your works, that which you do. Those who accept this "unified apostate church's" version of God's law and comply with it will receive the "mark of the beast" "in their forehead"- which is symbolic of their rejection of God's Law for they have received the mindset and spirit of darkness. Those who willingly comply with it although recognizing that it is opposed to God's Law, receive this "mark" "in their hand", which symbolizes their "knowing" disobedience to God's Law in order to avoid persecution. But those who comply with God's Law and reject this altered "version" do NOT receive this "mark", which simply means they are considered by civil authorities to be lawbreakers. This has happened in the past to those who refused to compromise their faith and it WILL happen again. Instead they will receive the mark of God on their forehead – “And the LORD said unto him, Go through the midst of the city, through the midst of Jerusalem, and set a mark upon the foreheads of the men that sigh and that cry for all the abominations that be done in the midst thereof” (Ezekiel 9:4). They alone survive God’s judgment upon an apostate church. Ezekiel continues V.5-7 “And to the others he said in mine hearing, Go ye after him through the city, and smite: let not your eye spare, neither have ye pity: Slay utterly old and young, both maids, and little children, and women: but come not near any man upon whom is the mark; and begin at my sanctuary. Then they began at the ancient men which were before the house. And he said unto them, Defile the house, and fill the courts with the slain: go ye forth. And they went forth, and slew in the city.” The city is a type of the church. We are a city sit on a hill that cannot be hid. What is the problem, why is God destroying these who are supposed to be His people? Ezekiel 9:9-10 “Then said he unto me, The iniquity of the house of Israel and Judah is exceeding great, and the land is full of blood, and the city full of perverseness: for they say, The LORD hath forsaken the earth, and the LORD seeth not. And as for me also, mine eye shall not spare, neither will I have pity, but I will recompense their way upon their head.” They think God will overlook their compromise of His Word, but He will not. The condition of discipleship and therefore salvation is following the truth of His Word. Jesus said: “If ye continue in my word, then are ye my disciples indeed; And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free” (John 8:31-32). One of the things we are set free from is false doctrine that can damn our soul to hell. The truth sets us free from deception and brings us to the freedom and liberty that comes through the truth.
Revelation 13:16-17 “And he causeth all, both small and great, rich and poor, free and bond, to receive a mark in their right hand, or in their foreheads: And that no man might buy or sell, save he that had the mark, or the name of the beast, or the number of his name.” The reason they cannot buy or sell is because everything they own will be confiscated, just like with the early followers of Christ in Jerusalem. They have no jobs and without money, you cannot buy. When you own nothing, you have nothing to sell. God's people are those who "cannot buy nor sell". But the rest of the world looks at this group as those that once looked at Christ and jeered, “Thou that destroyest the temple, and buildest it in three days, save thyself. If thou be the Son of God, come down from the cross… He saved others; himself he cannot save. If he be the King of Israel, let him now come down from the cross, and we will believe him” (Matthew 27:40,42).
This is an event of world-wide extent which will encompass the countries of the globe before it is over. Right now, the governments of the world are in league to regulate peace efforts, and environmental and trading practices. But behind the scenes, the foundation is already laid for the presenting of a set of "universal spiritual laws" that already is on the books and part of the treaty of the United Nations. And it is now that the last call is going out: “...Babylon the great is fallen, is fallen, and is become the habitation of devils, and the hold of every foul spirit, and a cage of every unclean and hateful bird. For all nations have drunk of the wine of the wrath of her fornication, and the kings of the earth have committed fornication with her, and the merchants of the earth are waxed rich through the abundance of her delicacies. And I heard another voice from heaven, saying, come out of her, my people, that ye be not partakers of her sins, and that ye receive not of her plagues” (Revelation 18:2-4)
The ark of the covenant with the tables of stone written by the hand of God and the other vessels of the temple that were hidden by Jeremiah have been found and one day those tablets will be brought out as a testimony of God and His Word but for many it will be too late for God will judge those who have rebelled against and rejected His laws and commandments.
