and the church here like? God said, 'Woe to those who call evil good, and good evil' but that’s what we have done. America
We have turned truth into a lie and lies are spoken as if they were truth.
As we enter the year 2008, let us perceive Isaiah’s vision of God in chapter 6:1-8 as prophetic of our day. Much of what I will say speaks of the church in America.V.1 “In the year that king Uzziah died I saw also the Lord sitting upon a throne, high and lifted up, and his robe filled the temple.”
Iin the year that king Uzziah died, speaks of when the flesh died. Any vision of the Lord must be preceeded by the death of our flesh. 2 Kings 15:1-5 tells us that Uzziah (Azariah) did that which was right in the sight of the Lord, But the high places were not removed during his reign. As a result the people of God still sacrificed and burnt incense on these high places. The Lord judged and smote Uzziah so that he was a leper, which represents sin.
Prophetically speaking, there is a religious system in our midst wherein there is a reign of Christian leaders and ministers in the Body of Christ. They do wonderful works in the Name of Christ and thus do which is right in the sight of the Lord. But they have not removed the high places that they inherited from their spiritual fathers. These high places of man-made traditions that crept into the church through Catholicism were not completely removed when the reformation took place and remain to this day, along with newer influences of man’s customs, culture and tradition..
The Levitical priesthood is still entrenched (embeded) in the Body of Christ with the result that the people of God sacrifice in these high places. The Lord Jesus is the Lamb of God, sacrificed by God on the Altar of Calvary.
He was sacrificed so that the children of God could become a kingdom of priests. Once the curtain in the
Temple of God was rent in two when Jesus died on the Cross, those who accept the sacrifice of the Lamb of God become the priests of God and behold the glory of God.
But the religious system likened to the reign of Uzziah has left such high places in the
Kingdom of God . Those who call themselves pastors or ministers of God, covet the sacrifices of the children of God. Money is the greatest idol in these high places.
The reason why the wealth of the wicked has NOT been transferred to the righteous is because leaders have made merchandise of the word and gifts of God for personal gain. They sell prophesies, holy water from the
Jordan River , or books and tapes, but not for the furtherance of the kingdom. They still want to hoard wealth instead of being a conduit for the work of the kingdom of God and have make a religious cloak for their covetousness and love of money.
In Jer:2:13, Jeremiah cries that the people of God have committed two evils. They have forsaken the Christ of the kingdom, the fountain of living waters and dug themselves wells, broken wells, that can hold no water. The false teachers and prophets, to go along with the customs and traditions of men have dug many wells out of the Word of God.
They speak a message pleasing to the sheep under their care, throwing to the wind the words of Christ. Their messages do not bring about conviction of sin, or a revelation of the righteousness of God and His judgment. They simply give a message of peace saying that we can live in the same manner as the children of the world because of grace, as if it was grease.
Today the children of God are not able to see the Lord sitting upon the throne, high and lifted up because the fleshly Uzziahs are standing in the way, keeping them from beholding the glory of God. Instead, the children of God are beholding the glory of men.
If the Uzziah, the flesh, is dead in your life, you can also behold the Lord sitting upon the throne. If you behold the Lord on the throne high and lifted up, you will find the kingdom of the devil, the earthly and political kingdoms, the religious kingdoms, the economic kingdoms, all seated far below the Lord’s throne, for He is the King of Kings...
The devil and the rulers in this world cannot touch you because you are seated with Christ in heavenly places. Today some believers cannot behold the Lord’s throne high and lifted up above the devil’s kingdom because they want an earthly mediator between them and the Lord. They always seek the prayers of these mediators. They do not use their God given authority against the devil but seek the intervention of their pastor or someone else to cast the demons out.
Remember, the devil and his kingdom have already been stripped of their powers by the Lion of Judah! Satan only goes about AS, pretending to be a lion, but He’s toothless. He’s been cast out of heaven.
Isa.6:2-4 “Above it stood the seraphims: each one had six wings; with twain he covered his face, and with twain he covered his feet, and with twain he did fly. And one cried unto another, and said, Holy, holy, holy, is the LORD of hosts: the whole earth is full of his glory. And the posts of the door moved at the voice of him that cried, and the house was filled with smoke.”
Above the throne of the Lord stood the Seraphims. The Seraphims are angelic beings without names. They are not known by name like Gabriel and Michael, who are ministering angels for the children of God. Prophetically speaking, those people of God likened to the Seraphims are standing above the throne of the Lord. It is a privilege for those who die to their fame or popularity in the Christian world and serve God like the Seraphims!
Each Seraphim had six wings. With two wings, he covered his face. In God’s holy presence, he does not want to reveal his face to the world outside. He does not want his face to be manifested as he is seated in the heavenly places. He doesn’t draw attention to self. He wants others to see only God’s glory.
Secondly, he covers his feet with two wings. The feet represent our walk as a living epistle read of men, the evangelistic ministry of the saint. No saint should glory in his ministry, save in the Cross of our Lord Jesus Christ.
Thirdly, he flies with two wings. He does not stay on the ground when he finishes his evangelistic work. He immediately disappears after preaching the gospel and baptizing the Ethiopian like Philip in the 8th chapter of Acts.
No saint should find him/herself entangled in the affairs of this world. The children of this world should see the saint as in heavenly places. What happens today? The servants of the Most High are found seeking favors of earthly rulers or the unsaved for their heavenly ministries.
The Seraphims are expressive of the divine holiness, which demands that the sinner shall have access to God’s presence only through a sacrifice, which vindicates the righteousness of God according to Rom.3:24-26. Only through the Blood of the Cross can we partake of the holiness of God. A sinner cannot save himself by repeating a prayer. He has to look unto the Lamb of God, the crucified Christ, and to repent of his wicked life of rebellion before approaching the Throne of God.
A complete and total transformation of the sinner takes place at the Altar causing the sinner to make restitution of wrongs committed.
The Seraphims cried unto one another, “Holy, holy, holy, is the Lord of hosts: the whole earth is full of His glory”. The Seraphims convey a simple message revealing God to the fallen human race. The Seraphims do not convey different messages to this world. They are united as one.
Today we find an abundance of prophecies in the Name of Jesus, a host of television programs, seminars and special meetings. All these tools convey different messages, different revelations but do not convey the message of holiness and the glory of God.
The word “holy” is repeated three times to show the holiness of the triune God. There is no place on earth, or in the heavens that is not filled with the glory of the Lord. Jesus said if we know the truth, the truth will set us free.
Today we confess that the devil is present wherever we go and that he places hindrances on our paths. It’s time we proclaimed the truth, “The whole earth is full of the Lord’s glory”. “The earth is the Lord’s and the fullness thereof.” Nothing belongs to the devil. He’s a squatter with no rights.
We don’t have to drive the devil away from the places we tread on. God has already given them to us. We just have to confess that this whole earth is full of God’s glory, and He reigns supreme over all, in our lives, situations, homes, work or where-ever.. There is no glory of the devil or glory of any ruler in this earth.
The Holiness and omnipresence of the Lord manifests His power. If you have the revelation of His holiness through the Seraphims today, you will never hesitate to forsake any unholy alliance in this world. We are to be holy as the Lord is holy. We cannot separate God’s holiness from His omnipresence because both these traits are interwoven in God. Holiness emanates from righteousness. Sin emanates from unrighteousness.
Anything that is unrighteous is sinful. We do not need any moral code to tell us what unrighteousness is. A child of God redeemed through the Blood of the Lamb knows what is unrighteous because God has written the Law on our hearts. If we love God, we will forsake sin, we will turn from that which He hates and desire to please Him.
The posts of the door moved at the voice of the Seraphim that cried, and the house was filled with smoke. If a true revival is to take place today in our midst, we need to listen to the voice of the Seraphim about the holiness and omnipresence of the Lord of hosts.
Today, we do not find the House of God filled with smoke. God’s glory is missing but man’s glory is there. In many churches, the children of God shout at the top of their voices, “The Lord’s presence is here.” They live under a great deception today because their lives are not holy and are not different from the lives of the children of the world. You cannot bring about the Lord’s presence by shouting “PTL” if your life is full of unrighteousness.
Effect of the vision
Isaiah, who had prophesied on the birth, life, ministry, death and resurrection of the Messiah weeps here after seeing the vision of the Lord’s throne. He points his fingers towards himself and moans, (Isa.6:5) “Woe is me! For I am undone; because I am a man of unclean lips, and I dwell in the midst of a people of unclean lips; for mine yes have seen the King, the Lord of hosts”. He does not say, “Woe unto you!” A child of God who gets a true revelation of God repents in humility and cries out saying, “Woe is me!”
A holy prophet who had prophesied of holy things cries out looking at his own spiritual condition. You may prophesy in Jesus’ Name but you have to examine your own life in the presence of a holy God. If a prophet who prophesied on the whole life of the Messiah calls himself a man of unclean lips! Can you and I justify ourselves in the holy presence of God today?
“I am undone”, cries out the prophet in desperation on seeing the majesty of the Lord on the throne. The prophet trembles in the holy presence of God, fearing His judgment. Today we argue through our unclean lips in His presence, justifying our unjust and unrighteous acts, quoting some Scriptures, knowing well that our acts are unrighteous and unjust. We have no fear of God. God will not tolerate iniquity and sin in our lives. Our lips become unclean when we commit iniquity and sin.
The prophet says that he dwells in the midst of a people of unclean lips. The prophet prophesies to the people of God. Today the lives of most of the chosen people of God are no different from the children of the world except for their church attendance. We can recognize the Christians in our midst because they go to church on Sunday. A people of unclean lips is the testimony of God concerning His chosen people.
In their life-style, they follow the actors and actresses of
Hollywood , whom they love, learn from and imitate, then justify committing the same sin. Christian mothers kill babes in their wombs. Christian parents allow their unmarried children to enjoy pre-marital sex. They don’t discipline their children and call it building self-esteem. They partake of profanity and pornography and call it freedom of expression.
But on Sundays they make an appearance in church, and worship God through unclean lips.
Do we see the holy Lord of hosts enthroned in our churches on Sundays as we worship Him? Do we have the prophetic vision of Isaiah when we come to His presence on Sundays?
Some say, “The Lord’s presence is here. I see the glory of God”. If we dare invoke His presence in our midst, we should be prepared to face the One who is a consuming fire. Grace does not mean that we can enter His holy presence with unclean lives.
We are made worthy to enter His holy presence only through the blood of the Lamb. And true faith in Christ brings more than a change in the words we say, but a change in our lives that we walk differently than the world. Something is wrong when a believer talks, walks and acts like the world. There is no testimony for God in such.
The Ministry of the Seraphim
Isa.6:6-7 “One of the Seraphims flew towards the prophet, having a life coal in his hand, that he had taken with the tongs from off the altar. Then he laid it upon the mouth of the prophet and said, “Lo, this has touched your lips; and your iniquity is taken away, and your sin purged”.
The Seraphims are angelic beings constantly dwelling above the Lord’s throne. They are in God’s presence while ministering. One of them now ministers to the great prophet. Today we are not able to perceive the saints of God in our midst who are like this ministering Seraphim.
This incident reveals another truth. The Seraphim from the presence of God goes to the altar and takes a live coal in his hand. Under the New Covenant, we have the only Altar on which the Lamb of God was sacrificed for the whole world. The live coal is the Holy Spirit that emanates from this Altar. Today, we can find many deceiving spirits that imitate the Holy Spirit in working of miracles. But they do not emanate from
Calvary but from man-made altars.
There are many churches in our midst that present “another Jesus” and not the Jesus of the gospels. This “Jesus” is confined to the four walls of their churches. This “Jesus” is confined to the stage performance of the minister concerned.
Today Evangelists are not able to “win” multitudes for Christ because they do not preach a Christ glorified and reigning, but “another Jesus” whom they create through their churches and ministries.
Isaiah is a prophetic sign to us. The gospel messages we hear today do not transform the lives of the multitudes who throng the gospel crusades or who hear the gospel messages through the television channels because it is “another gospel” with “another spirit”.
Though they present wonderful stories and illustrations, the multitudes return home empty-handed because the live coal from the altar has not touched their lips. Let us escape this great deception. Let us return to the old paths. Let us return to the Altar of Calvary and bring the live coal from there to minister to the multitudes.
If the multitudes hear our wonderful messages but their iniquity is not taken away and their sin not purged, what have we benefitted them. If they just receive some miracles or healings in their bodies, but their lives do not get transformed, where is the benefit?
They will feel elated and emotionally happy but their inner man has not been born again. Remember the children of
. They saw great miracles of God and ended up destroyed by the destroyer and lost for eternity. They knew the acts of God, but like Moses, we need to know the ways of God. Israel
The great commission
Isa 6:8 After the cleansing fire through the Seraphim, the prophet now hears the voice of the Lord, saying, whom shall I send and who will go for us?” Then the prophet says, “Here am I; send me"
Many people want to serve in God’s vineyard without being sanctified through the live coal of the Seraphim. It is the Lord who sanctifies and puts us in His ministry. Everyone is called to serve in His vineyard. But our lips need to be touched through the Holy Spirit that comes from the Altar of Calvary before going into His vineyard. Your life needs to be transformed completely through the Holy Spirit. You should have the experience of Paul in identifying yourself with the crucified Christ. (Gal.2:20) “I am crucified with Christ; nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me…”.
If you are hearing His call today, then you have to simply say, “Here am I; send me”. You should be prepared to go to any part of this world to serve Him. You have no choice to make. It is His ministry. It is His vineyard.
You have to do that particular assignment for which you are ordained of Him and we should not build our own kingdom through His Name.
One of the marks of true leadership is that it releases people into their callings and ministries and mobilizes the WHOLE Body as much as they are willing. It's sometimes easier said than done.
Not every member of the Body wants to co-labor with Christ; not every leader has the ability to be able to release the Body effectively; and not every leader wants to release the whole Body as they should. But in this church our pastors are doing their best to release this body to the call of God and work of His kingdom.
God meant for the Church to have full employment, that all would be involved in the work of the kingdom, not just a few leaders. If every church was operating with the philosophy of ministry that releases people into their destiny and the vision God has for them, millions of Christians would be released into the harvest fields.
They would be working with the support and encouragement of one another-- building each other up and encouraging each other in the "good works that the Father has prepared for us in advance" and they would be transforming this world we live in and bringing the
kingdom of God to the earth. Are we ready for God to begin with us… here… now…
God wants to turn his body into a radical army with no agenda of their own, to see God's glory manifest in the earth. We may one day see our children, reaching out and touching others, and them being healed. God is going to do that which will bring Him glory, such that no man can steal His glory, as many have done.
How is the world ever going to get saved, healed and delivered unless the whole Church is released to do it? There simply aren’t enough people to bring in the harvest if we don't all participate. The world is crying out to the Church, "The harvest is past, the summer has ended, and we are still not saved."
God is positioning His Church for a greater release into the harvest field than ever before in order to accomplish His will for this hour and for His glory.
But nothing is ours unless we take it! God wants to give us a spiritual inheritance from the nations, but also
. The heart beat of God is for lost souls. Jesus said the harvest is plenteous, but the laborers are few… will you go for me. America
If your answer, like Isaiah’s, is Yes Lord, send me - I will be a part of your body to take Christ to the world, come forward. Let us tell the Lord, we will follow you, where ever you lead us. I will go where you want me to go… I will say what you want me to say… I will be what you want me to be.
