Romans 1:20 “For the invisible things of him from the creation of the world are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even his eternal power and Godhead; so that they are without excuse.” God’s invisible qualities, his eternal power and divine nature are clearly seen and understood by what has been made so that men are without excuse for their sin and rebellion against God. A companion verse is Psalm 19:1 “The heavens declare the glory of God; and the firmament showeth his handiwork.” Colossians 1:16 “For by him were all things created, that are in heaven, and that are in earth, visible and invisible, whether they be thrones, or dominions, or principalities, or powers: all things were created by him, and for him.”
1) The Spirit world is invisible, but nonetheless real than the physical world. In fact, the invisible world is more real than the physical one for it is eternal whereas this physical world is temporal and subject to change and is under the control of the spiritual. 2 Corinthians 4:18 “While we look not at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen: for the things which are seen are temporal; but the things which are not seen are eternal.” We have to fix our eyes on that which is unseen and eternal. There are 18 Greek words translated into ‘look’ in the KJV, each with a different shade of meaning. Skopeo, skop-eh'-o is to look and consider, implying mental consideration. We are not to get our eyes, our mind, our faith set or fixed upon that which is temporal. We are not to look at these things with consideration, but we are to fix our eyes on Christ and His Word, which are “eternally settled in heaven.”
Psalm 119:89 “For ever, O LORD, thy word is settled in heaven.” The Hebrew for settled is natsab, naw-tsab', meaning it is appointed or established in heaven.
Hebrews 12:2 “Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith; who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God.” The Greek aphorao, af-or-ah'-o means to look away from one thing so as to see another, to concentrate the gaze upon, to consider attentively. We can only put our eyes upon Jesus, we can only concentrate upon Him and His Word when we look away from the temporal circumstances and situations so we can clearly see Jesus. The written and living Word of God that will bring us faith and not fear and give us the ability to overcome and be victorious in all our circumstances.
This is what Moses did! Hebrews 11:27 “By faith he forsook
, not fearing the wrath of the king: for he endured, as seeing him who is invisible.” The Greek work for seeing, horao, hor-ah'-o means to stare at and discern clearly, to attend to, to experience, to appear, perceive, to see having the meaning of caring for and taking heed to that which is seen. We see that Moses discounted and didn’t look at his beginnings in Pharaoh’s house, his education, his position, etc, but he looked to that which he could not see with his eyes, but only by the eyes of faith. Hebrews 11:24-31 “By faith Moses, when he was come to years, refused to be called the son of Pharaoh's daughter; Choosing rather to suffer affliction with the people of God, than to enjoy the pleasures of sin for a season; Esteeming the reproach of Christ greater riches than the treasures in Egypt: for he had respect unto the recompense of the reward. By faith he forsook Egypt , not fearing the wrath of the king: for he endured, as seeing him who is invisible. Through faith he kept the passover, and the sprinkling of blood, lest he that destroyed the firstborn should touch them. By faith they passed through the Egypt Red sea as by dry land: which the Egyptians assaying to do were drowned. By faith the walls of.” The rest of Hebrews chapter 11 tells of others who believed God, they looked at His Word, His promise and not at their circumstances. This is the correct response to affliction – tribulation – and trials. Jericho fell down, after they were compassed about seven days. By faith the harlot Rahab perished not with them that believed not, when she had received the spies with peace
2 Corinthians 4:17-18 “For our light affliction, which is but for a moment, worketh for us a far more exceeding and eternal weight of glory; While we look not at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen: for the things which are seen are temporal; but the things which are not seen are eternal.” Notice that the affliction, the situation that causes us pain or grief works for us while and if we look to God and not to the problem. 1 John 4:4 “Ye are of God, little children, and have overcome them: because greater is he that is in you, than he that is in the world.” A song puts it this way: “Never mind your problems, look a little higher, never mind the wind and waves, never mind the fire, Jesus can do miracles, turn your stones to bread, don’t look at your problems, look to God instead.”
It doesn’t matter what we face or even what we’ve done in the past, God is greater than our past failures and sins, if we will look to Him today and entrust Him with our past then He will turn it for our good. Just like Moses – God planned for him to deliver
Israelfrom , and God put it in his heart, but he got ahead of God and acted on his own. He killed an Egyptian and delivered one Israelite instead of the nation. He had to run for his life and 40 years later God picked up the pieces of his life and put him back on course, on the track set for his life and Moses did lead Egypt Israelout of as God had planned all along. He turned Moses mistake into His miracle of deliverance. God used it for His glory. Egypt
Another song says: “God is turning my mistakes into miracles, He’s turning my loses into gain. Yesterday’s trials are today’s triumphs, on my desert He is pouring down the rain. And I’m learning while He’s turning my whole life around, there’s purpose and there’s power after pain. God is turning my mistakes into miracles, He’s turning my loses into gain.”
PTL. When the Power of God’s Spirit comes into our life and situation, everything changes. The invisible power of God changes the physical, visible world we live in and everything about it. When the anointing comes, the yoke is broken! Isaiah 10:27 “And it shall come to pass in that day, that his burden shall be taken away from off thy shoulder, and his yoke from off thy neck, and the yoke shall be destroyed because of the anointing.” Another song goes: “Sweet, sweet anointing, the very presence of God, chains are broken, captives set free, when that sweet anointing comes.”
2) One way to look at the invisible things of God and see them, is by faith. Sometimes this is the only way to victory. Hebrews 11:32-34 “And what shall I more say? for the time would fail me to tell of Gedeon, and of Barak, and of Samson, and of Jephthae; of David also, and Samuel, and of the prophets: Who through faith subdued kingdoms, wrought righteousness, obtained promises, stopped the mouths of lions, Quenched the violence of fire, escaped the edge of the sword, out of weakness were made strong, waxed valiant in fight, turned to flight the armies of the aliens.”
But God has also provided a way for us to understand the invisible things of God. Ephesians 3:3-5 “How that by revelation he made known unto me the mystery; (as I wrote afore in few words, Whereby, when ye read, ye may understand my knowledge in the mystery of Christ)” This revelation that Paul speaks about is not a physical revelation, not something you see with your natural eves, but with the spiritual eyes of faith. 1 Corinthians 2:7 “But we speak the wisdom of God in a mystery, even the hidden wisdom, which God ordained before the world unto our glory.” 10-13 “But God hath revealed them unto us by his Spirit: for the Spirit searcheth all things, yea, the deep things of God. For what man knoweth the things of a man, save the spirit of man which is in him? even so the things of God knoweth no man, but the Spirit of God. Now we have received, not the spirit of the world, but the spirit which is of God; that we might know the things that are freely given to us of God. Which things also we speak, not in the words which man's wisdom teacheth, but which the Holy Ghost teacheth; comparing spiritual things with spiritual.” It is spiritual revelation – that comes to our spiritual man and is understood. Romans 1:20 “For the invisible things of him from the creation of the world are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even his eternal power and Godhead; so that they are without excuse.” Again, we can understand the invisible things of God through the things that He has made. It is saying that we can look at the physical, natural, created things to get a picture of or understanding of the spiritual or invisible things of God. He has made the material, physical universe to be a parallel and parable of the spiritual universe that is of the 4th dimension, which is a spiritual one that can’t be seen.
God created the universe and all that we see with His Word. Hebrews 11:3 “Through faith we understand that the worlds were framed by the word of God, so that things which are seen were not made of things which do appear.” The universe was formed at God’s command and that which we see is not made out of that which is visible. God created according to the Greek word ‘ex nihilo’ or out of nothing! He didn’t use anything pre-existing when He called the worlds into being. For in the beginning was only God and nothing else.
Colossians 1:16-17 “For by him were all things created, that are in heaven, and that are in earth, visible and invisible, whether they be thrones, or dominions, or principalities, or powers: all things were created by him, and for him: And he is before all things, and by him all things consist.” By Him all things were created and consist or are held together in harmony. All of creation began with the Word of God and was by the Word of God.
Psalm 33:6 “By the word of the LORD were the heavens made; and all the host of them by the breath of his mouth.” Psalm 33:9 “For he spake, and it was done; he commanded, and it stood fast.” Now we can’t see words or faith, but when words are spoken in faith, there is a spiritual force released in them. When God spoke, creative power came forth from Him, in His Words, and we can see the results of what God spoke in the things He created.
Hebrews 1:2-3 “Hath in these last days spoken unto us by his Son, whom he hath appointed heir of all things, by whom also he made the worlds; Who being the brightness of his glory, and the express image of his person, and upholding all things by the word of his power, when he had by himself purged our sins, sat down on the right hand of the Majesty on high.” Not only was everything created by God’s Word, but it continues and is upheld by God’s Word till one day He will speak and they will cease to be. Hebrews 1:10-12 “And, Thou, Lord, in the beginning hast laid the foundation of the earth; and the heavens are the works of thine hands: They shall perish; but thou remainest; and they all shall wax old as doth a garment; And as a vesture shalt thou fold them up, and they shall be changed: but thou art the same, and thy years shall not fail.” Revelation 6:14 “And the heaven departed as a scroll when it is rolled together; and every mountain and island were moved out of their places.” 21:1 “And I saw a new heaven and a new earth: for the first heaven and the first earth were passed away; and there was no more sea.”
Hebrews 1:3 “Who being the brightness of his glory, and the express image of his person, and upholding all things by the word of his power, when he had by himself purged our sins, sat down on the right hand of the Majesty on high.” This tell us that all of God’s power is in His Word. It’s not the power of His Word, because that would imply that God has power elsewhere, but it is the Word of His power because God doesn’t have any power elsewhere, all His power comes forth when He speaks, His power is released in His Word. God’s Word holds everything in obedience to what He has said.
3) God created man in His image and likeness. Genesis 1:26-27 “And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth. So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them.” The Hebrew for image is tselem, tseh'-lem meaning to shade, a phantom, (fig) illusion, resemblance, hence a representative figure.
God, who is a trinity, made us as a resemblance in kind of Himself, a trinity of body, soul and spirit. Our body relates to Jesus, who was the physical manifestation of God upon the earth. The soul is made up of the will, mind and emotions and relates to the Holy Spirit, who is our comforter. The spirit of man relates go God, who is Spirit.
As God’s Words are creative and the worlds were framed by His Word, so our world is framed by our words. The things we continually confess get into our spirit and are mixed with faith and will change the course of our lives.
Romans 10:17 “So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.” This isn’t speaking of physical hearing, but spiritual hearing. It begins by physical hearing, then gets into our spirit and is mixed with faith and becomes spiritual hearing.
Romans 10:8 “But what saith it? The word is nigh thee, even in thy mouth, and in thy heart: that is, the word of faith, which we preach;” First we hear the Word of faith, words of God that will produce faith. (V.9) “That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.” We confess the Word of God – we speak what God says, in agreement with His Word and it will bring faith within us. (V.10) “For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.” Then finally out of faith, we will speak because we believe. That’s why what we listen to and speak is so important. Proverbs 23:7 “For as he thinketh in his heart, so is he…” What you think in your heart, in your spirit, is what you become. Proverbs 12:14 “A man shall be satisfied with good by the fruit of his mouth: and the recompense of a man's hands shall be rendered unto him.” From the fruit of your lips you will be filled with good things as surely as you are rewarded by the work of your hands. What we speak in faith, positive or negative, bears fruit. Proverbs 18:20-21 “A man's belly shall be satisfied with the fruit of his mouth; and with the increase of his lips shall he be filled. Death and life are in the power of the tongue: and they that love it shall eat the fruit thereof.” Your stomach will be filled by the fruit of your mouth and you will be satisfied with the harvest of your lips. The tongue has the power of life and death and those who love it will eat of its fruit – good or bad.
The words we speak are seeds – either of faith or of doubt and fear, but seeds that when planted by speaking will produce a harvest of fruit. We are continually changed by what we hear because it produces faith. Negative faith is still faith and it still works in you. If you hear someone say something bad about a person, you may or may not except it, you may consider it simply a rumor, depending on how possible or unlikely it seems. But if you had 10 people tell you the same thing you would probably believe it to be fact and might even repeat it because you put your faith in what you heard, though you have not verified or know first hand that it is true.
If people kept telling you how bad you looked, how tired you must be, if you let it get into your spirit and confessed it, you would become tired, whether or not you were tired originally. A child that is constantly told and taught the he will never amount to nothing and that he is no good, never becomes successful because the learn to believe they can’t and that is their self image upon which they act. Other children taught they are something before God, a child of God, they can do and become whatever God enables them to, that they can believe Him for, will be able to accomplish great things. You are a product of what you believe about yourself. Remember, as a man thinketh in his heart, so he is.
Hebrews 11:1 “Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.” The Greek for substance, upostasis, hoop-os'-tas-is, the essence of, assurance of, the giving substance to – something that could not be equally expressed by hope. Our faith is like a supporting document or title deed, it is the essence of what we desire, it gives substance to what we desire, causing it to move from the spiritual realm, the invisible realm of eternal things where by faith we give birth to it, into the physical realm where we can see it. The Greek word for evidence, elegchos, el'-eng-khos, means the proof or conviction, as evidence in a trial.
4) Romans 1:20 “For the invisible things of him from the creation of the world are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even his eternal power and Godhead; so that they are without excuse:” Lets use some illustrations to help reveal kingdom principles.
a) Take a blueprint. Have you ever had someone show you a blueprint and say, ‘look at our new church sanctuary’? Or, ‘This is our new building’. Yet it’s only a piece of paper.
The person looking at the blueprint and proclaiming it’s a building is by faith calling that which is not real as God calls those things that are not as if they were. Romans 4:17b “…who…calleth those things which be not as though they were.” It is seeing through the eyes of faith and speaking that which you desire or see in your spirit as reality, as already existing, believing that it will come to pass. Mark 11:23 “For verily I say unto you, That whosoever shall say unto this mountain, Be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea; and shall not doubt in his heart, but shall believe that those things which he saith shall come to pass; he shall have whatsoever he saith.” Your mountain is any problem or obstacle in your life that you have to believe God for.
Matthew 21:21 “Jesus answered and said unto them, Verily I say unto you, If ye have faith, and doubt not, ye shall not only do this which is done to the fig tree, but also if ye shall say unto this mountain, Be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea; it shall be done.” Just as a blueprint by marks and designs enable a builder to clearly understand the whole building, God’s Word is our blueprint. God’s Word caries with it, the power, the blueprint, to bring it to pass and make it a reality in the physical world.
We need to put the blueprint of God’s Word – of His promises in our spirit so that we can live out the reality of God’s Word in our lives. When our spirit grasps the reality of God’s Word and understands it, then it will cause us by the power of the Holy Spirit working in us, to live according to that Word and fulfill it.
Colossians 1:15 “Who is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn of every creature:” Jesus is the physical image and manifestation of God’s Word come to life. John 1:14 “And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth.” 1 Timothy 3:16 “And without controversy great is the mystery of godliness: God was manifest in the flesh, justified in the Spirit, seen of angels, preached unto the Gentiles, believed on in the world, received up into glory.” Colossians 2:9 “For in him dwelleth all the fulness of the Godhead bodily.”
b) What image is imprinted on your spirit? A TV picture is an image made up of some 750,000 dots of varying intensity. They are arranged to reflect what the film in the camera is exposed to, the light that shines upon it. The TV can arrange those dots in varying intensity to create any picture or image desired, that is projected by the film.
The human spirit is like the film in a camera. Whatever you continually expose it to, it creates; or duplicates, that same image. That’s why what we see and hear is so important to living a victorious Christian life. If a person continues to expose their human spirit to things that are contrary to the Word of God, then their spirit is polluted, corrupted, and the image on the tables of their heart or spirit will not be according to God’s Word, but yet they will live and act according to that image.
This is why our confession is so important to living victorious for Christ. Revelation 12:11 “And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb, and by the word of their testimony; and they loved not their lives unto the death.” We have to put God’s Word in our spirit and confess God’s Word – come into agreement with God’s Word, if we want to live a victorious life in Christ. The Word of our testimony is our testifying to the Word of God, that we say what God’s Word says because we believe it.
If we continually talk of sickness and weakness we will never walk in health. God’s Word says, “let the weak say I am strong” (Joel 3:10). If we continually confess lack and poverty we will never experience abundance. Because the words we speak, we also hear and it continues producing faith in that which we speak. Our words, like seeds, produce after their own kind.
God’s Word is alive and carries with it the power to reproduce itself according to what God has spoken. You could say it’s pre-programmed with the substance of the things that God has spoken. The Word of God is pre-programmed to duplicate the promise of God in our life. Our faith in God’s Word is that substance; it will make the Word of God produce substance in our life. Unless we think we have a better idea and change it, thinking we can improve on it. It’s like rearranging the dots that make up a picture.
Back to the illustration: The substance of a picture or photo is dots, whether on the TV or a digital camera. It’s the way the dots are arranged that determines what the photo or picture will be. The only difference between a good picture of God’s blessing and a bad one of defeat is the arrangement of the dots.
Hebrews 11:1 “Faith is the substance of things...” God’s Word is filled with faith! It produces faith when we listen to it and put it in our spirit. In our illustration, faith is substance, or dots, of all the things that God has given to us and done for us in Christ. God’s Word has all the dots arranged properly for our life, to make us who God says we are in Christ, and make us into the image of Christ according to Romans 8:29. “For whom he did foreknow, he also did predestinate to be conformed to the image of his Son, that he might be the firstborn among many brethren.”
Many people are busy re-arranging the dots and thereby developing a wrong image in their spirit, which they then live out in their everyday life. Romans 10:17 said, “faith cometh by hearing.” If we continually hear the words of the devil and all his negative things, then we will have faith in them instead of in God’s Word. That’s why Proverbs 10:11 says, “the mouth of a righteous man is a well of life.” He will speak the things of God, life and it will be reproduced in him. That’s why Proverbs 12:13 says that our words can cause us to stumble and fall and be a snare to our soul if we speak doubt and fear and failure.
By saying what the devil says and listening to what he says, as Eve did, the image of God’s Word in our spirit is changed – you rearrange the dots of the image on your spirit with the authority of your words. Satan knows he can gain power in our life by getting us to listen to him and speak what he says. When we get our eyes off God’s Word, as Eve did, then our eyes look at something else and our spirit gets a different image and we are led astray.
God’s Word is pre-programmed with the power to make it a reality. His Words are in the right order to bring about blessing in our life, like dots that make an image. The Word of God puts things in the physical realm in order with the spiritual realm, like arranging the dots that make up a picture. When we choose to speak words contrary to God’s Word, then the power of our spoken word changes the dots that make up the image in our spirit or the words we speak produce faith which is the substance of what we speak – the dots on the mage of our spirit. Our words can produce in our spirit an image of faith, blessing and victory or an image of defeat. We can speak faith in the Word of God or faith in what the devil has said or what the devil is doing, faith in God’s provision or faith in lack and spiritual bankruptcy.
5) God’s Word is Pre-Programmed to duplicate the things of God in our life – unless we rearrange the dots – or think we know better and try to change God’s Word as it relates to our life!
Romans 1:20 “For the invisible things of him from the creation of the world are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even his eternal power and Godhead; so that they are without excuse.” God created the earth and told us how to understand the invisible things of God thru a parable that Christ spoke in Mark 4:3-8, and the explanation in V.14-20 of the parable of the sower.
The original sower was God, who sowed His only begotten Son into the world, who died and was planted, that He might be the firstborn of many sons.
1 Corinthains 15:36-38 “Thou fool, that which thou sowest is not quickened, except it die: And that which thou sowest, thou sowest not that body that shall be, but bare grain, it may chance of wheat, or of some other grain: But God giveth it a body as it hath pleased him, and to every seed his own body.” The seed has to die, to live and reproduce. John 12:24 “Verily, verily, I say unto you, Except a corn of wheat fall into the ground and die, it abideth alone: but if it die, it bringeth forth much fruit.” Romans 8:29b “that he might be the firstborn among many brethren.” Colossians 1:18 “And he is the head of the body, the church: who is the beginning, the firstborn from the dead; that in all things he might have the preeminence.” Hebrews 2:10 “For it became him, for whom are all things, and by whom are all things, in bringing many sons unto glory, to make the captain of their salvation perfect through sufferings.”
Back to Mark 4: Verse 14 tells us the sower sows the Word of God. Since the only thing you can sow to bring a crop – by reproduction is a seed, in nature; accordingly the Word of God is spiritual seed that is likewise pre-programmed to reproduce itself. The spiritual earth or ground is the heart of man. The natural ground always reproduces what you plant. There is no place on the earth that will change what the seed is and what it is programmed to do. The natural earth will always produce what was planted. If wheat is planted, that is what the seed demands and the earth will produce wheat, not barley.
Mark 4:26-28 “And he said, So is the
” The kingdom of God, as if a man should cast seed into the ground; And should sleep, and rise night and day, and the seed should spring and grow up, he knoweth not how. For the earth bringeth forth fruit of herself; first the blade, then the ear, after that the full corn in the ear. Kingdom of God, is as if a man should cast seed into the ground. The seed makes a demand upon the soil, not the soil that makes a demand upon the seed. That is the way God has designed the heart of man, to produce what is planted in it. God’s Word or the devil’s word is spiritual seed and when it is planted in the heart of man it will produce the fruit demanded by the seed. That is why those who constantly watch evil on TV and movies become more and more like that which they watch…
When our words agree with God’s words, when we take it in our mouth and speak it by faith and believe that word, it places a demand on the
kingdom of God within us – the indwelling power of the Holy Spirit. Ephesians 3:20 “Now unto him that is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that worketh in us,” The Spirit of God indwelling in us is able to take the seed of God’s Word and make it produce the fruit that God desires.
But many Christians think they have a better idea and talk against or contrary to God’s Word and so they are not entering into the blessings and provisions that God has made for them. They are like the children of
Israelcoming out of Egypt– God gave them the land of Canaan by promise, it was the Promised Land for God’s people, but they couldn’t enter in because they wouldn’t mix faith with what God spoke to them.
Hebrews 4:2, 6 “For unto us was the gospel preached, as well as unto them: but the word preached did not profit them, not being mixed with faith in them that heard it… Seeing therefore it remaineth that some must enter therein, and they to whom it was first preached entered not in because of unbelief:” They thought they knew better than God, they didn’t believe His Word and they rearranged the dots of their spirits image to one of fear, and changed the substance of their things. They got exactly what they said. They said, “We’re going to die in this wilderness” and they did. They changed the faith producing promise of God into a lie, unto fear and doubt and it reproduced accordingly. Only two believed and confessed and received the promise of God. Joshua and Caleb lived for many years in the land and don’t you think they had many of their own age originally, all of whom God slew in the wilderness during that 40 years they wandered.
6) Just as the spirit world is invisible to the human (physical) eye, the
. kingdom of God is an invisible kingdom within every believer
In Luke 22:29 Jesus told his disciples, “I appoint unto you a kingdom”. According to John 18:36 it is a “kingdom not of this world.” Luke 17:20-21 says, “the
kingdom of(it’s invisible)… behold, the God cometh not with observation .” Hebrews 12:28 tells us it’s a “kingdom that cannot be moved.” So we know its eternal. It’s a kingdom of power and not merely words (1 Corinthians 4:20). Speaking to the children of God, Luke 12:32 says, “It is the Father’s good pleasure to give you the kingdom.” The kingdom of God is within you kingdom of God is an invisible, spiritual kingdom of power that is within the heart or spirit of those that are born again and filled with the power of God’s Spirit. This kingdom of God within us is the very Trinity, the Godhead.
John 14:23 “Jesus answered and said unto him, If a man love me, he will keep my words: and my Father will love him, and we will come unto him, and make our abode with him.” 14:17 “Even the Spirit of truth; whom the world cannot receive, because it seeth him not, neither knoweth him: but ye know him; for he dwelleth with you, and shall be in you.” It’s God in us that makes the
kingdom of God within. The kingdom of God within us, working in us, is capable of supplying every human need, but we have to plant the spiritual seeds to see a spiritual harvest, whether it be souls coming to Christ, or miracles of healing, deliverance, whatever is needed, if we line up with God’s Word and speak in faith, the Holy Spirit within us will bring it to pass to the glory of God.
James 5:15 “And the prayer of faith shall save the sick, and the Lord shall raise him up; and if he have committed sins, they shall be forgiven him.” John 15:16 “Ye have not chosen me, but I have chosen you, and ordained you, that ye should go and bring forth fruit, and that your fruit should remain: that whatsoever ye shall ask of the Father in my name, he may give it you.” Vs.7 “If ye abide in me, and my words abide in you, ye shall ask what ye will, and it shall be done unto you.” This is the Word of God getting into the spirit of man, producing a desired image, and by our confessing in prayer, God’s Word. The power of the indwelling Holy Spirit makes it a reality. 1 John 5:14-15 “And this is the confidence that we have in him, that, if we ask any thing according to his will, he heareth us: And if we know that he hear us, whatsoever we ask, we know that we have the petitions that we desired of him.” The fertile soil of a heart filled with God’s Word and spirit is capable of producing whatever demand we make with the Word of God. God made the earth and it is clearly revealing the invisible things of God. The invisible
kingdom of God within us is capable of supplying everything that we demand through the Word of Promise.
2 Peter 1:4 “Whereby are given unto us exceeding great and precious promises: that by these ye might be partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust.” The divine nature of God is miracles, power, provision, deliverance, healing. It is God’s will and purpose and plan for His people to produce spiritual fruit for His glory (we just saw this in John 15:16). Mark 16:15-18 shows this is Christ’s commission to His disciples. “Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature. He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but he that believeth not shall be damned. And these signs shall follow them that believe; In my name shall they cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues; They shall take up serpents; and if they drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt them; they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover.” Acts 1:8 “But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in
Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in.” But God is trying to get us out of the religious idea that God is going to do everything for us. Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth
Mark 4:26 “So is the
.” God isn’t’ going to do it all for us. As He furnished the earth to be a garden for natural seeds to reproduce, He furnished the spiritual ground of man’s heart to receive the Word of God and bring forth life eternal. kingdom of God, as if a man should cast seed into the ground
Don’t sow contaminated Seed! The heart of man will reproduce whatever is sown in it. So don’t tamper with the seed. Leviticus 19:19 “Ye shall keep my statutes. Thou shalt not let thy cattle gender with a diverse kind: thou shalt not sow thy field with mingled seed: neither shall a garment mingled of linen and woollen come upon thee.” Simply, do not sow the field of your heart with two kinds of seed. Many believers are sowing mingled seed in the garden of their heart. They say, “well, I know what the Bible says in Luke 6:38, but when I give, the washing machine breaks down, the car has a flat tire, and it looks like all hell breaks loose. It may work for some people, but it doesn’t work for me.” They are mingling (mixing) their seed. They have taken the pure Word of God and mixed unbelief with it. They have created word seeds that will not reproduce. A hybrid plant won’t produce a hybrid seed. God said, “don’t sow any mingled seed.”
God’s Word carries the power to reproduce after its kind, the king of word being spoken. The human spirit was designed as earth to be able to receive the spiritual Word of God where it could grow and reproduce. The words we speak are carriers of faith or doubt. God’s Word is filled with promises for our living an abundant, victorious life in Christ.
Satan must draw us away from the Word of God in order to deceive us, so he tries to discredit or change God’s Word as he did with Eve, and get us to speak and agree with his words, to believe him instead of God.
Psalm 34:12-13 “What man is he that desireth life, and loveth many days, that he may see good? Keep thy tongue from evil, and thy lips from speaking guile.” Guile is the Hebrew mirmah, meer-maw is the sense of deceiving, fraud, craft, false, treatchery. If Satan can trick us, deceive us into speaking and believing those things that we don’t desire or want in our life, they will become a reality in our lives. Negative faith is still faith. On the other hand; Proverbs 10:32 says, “the lips of the righteous know what is acceptable.” Proverbs 16:24 “Pleasant words are as an honeycomb, sweet to the soul, and health to the bones.” 15:4 “A wholesome tongue is a tree of life: but perverseness therein is a breach in the spirit.” The Hebrew for wholesome, marpe', mar-pay', means curative, literally a medicine, and deliverance; abstract, a cure, or curable and is translated as deliverance, cure, healing, remedy, sound, wholesome.
Matthew 13:24-28 is the parable of the wheat and the tares. The man sowed good seed. Jesus has given us good see. The Word of God is pure seed. But while men slept, while they weren’t being attentive to the seed, not watching, the enemy came and sowed tares and so Satan does, getting us to listen to and confess what he desires, if we are not alert and aware of him.
