While Daniel was fasting and praying and he was given a vision of events to happen in the future. He fasted for 21 days without receiving the answer and then an angel came to Daniel and spoke to him.
Daniel 10:5-13 “Then I lifted up mine eyes, and looked, and behold a certain man clothed in linen, whose loins were girded with fine gold of Uphaz: His body also was like the beryl, and his face as the appearance of lightning, and his eyes as lamps of fire, and his arms and his feet like in colour to polished brass, and the voice of his words like the voice of a multitude. And I Daniel alone saw the vision: for the men that were with me saw not the vision; but a great quaking fell upon them, so that they fled to hide themselves. Therefore I was left alone, and saw this great vision, and there remained no strength in me: for my comeliness was turned in me into corruption, and I retained no strength. Yet heard I the voice of his words: and when I heard the voice of his words, then was I in a deep sleep on my face, and my face toward the ground. And, behold, an hand touched me, which set me upon my knees and upon the palms of my hands. And he said unto me, O Daniel, a man greatly beloved, understand the words that I speak unto thee, and stand upright: for unto thee am I now sent. And when he had spoken this word unto me, I stood trembling. Then said he unto me, Fear not, Daniel: for from the first day that thou didst set thine heart to understand, and to chasten thyself before thy God, thy words were heard, and I am come for thy words. But the prince of the
kingdom of.” Persia withstood me one and twenty days: but, lo, Michael, one of the chief princes, came to help me; and I remained there with the kings of Persia
We see there was Gabriel (Daniel 8:16, 9:21) who revealed revelations to Daniel, Michael the Archangel (Daniel 12:1) and two satanic princes called the prince of Grecia and the prince of Persia (Daniel 10:13, 20) who warred in the heavenlies against the man of God. Daniel 8:16, 9:21 “And I heard a man's voice between the banks of Ulai, which called, and said, Gabriel, make this man to understand the vision… Yea, whiles I was speaking in prayer, even the man Gabriel, whom I had seen in the vision at the beginning, being caused to fly swiftly, touched me about the time of the evening oblation.” Daniel 12:1 “And at that time shall Michael stand up, the great prince which standeth for the children of thy people: and there shall be a time of trouble, such as never was since there was a nation even to that same time: and at that time thy people shall be delivered, every one that shall be found written in the book.” Daniel 10:13, 20 “But the prince of the
.” kingdom of Persia withstood me one and twenty days:.. Then said he, Knowest thou wherefore I come unto thee? and now will I return to fight with the prince of Persia: and when I am gone forth, lo, the prince of Grecia shall come
When the angel of the Lord came to Daniel and spoke to him in chapters 11 and 12, he was given a complete scenario of events that would happen, that began some 2500 years ago and continue until a man called the antichrist would arise.
Isaiah 44:7 “And who, as I, shall call, and shall declare it, and set it in order for me, since I appointed the ancient people? and the things that are coming, and shall come, let them show unto them.” Isaiah 45:21 “Tell ye, and bring them near; yea, let them take counsel together: who hath declared this from ancient time? who hath told it from that time? have not I the LORD? and there is no God else beside me; a just God and a Saviour; there is none beside me.” Isaiah 46:10 “Declaring the end from the beginning, and from ancient times the things that are not yet done, saying, My counsel shall stand, and I will do all my pleasure:” Isaiah 48:3, 5 “I have declared the former things from the beginning; and they went forth out of my mouth, and I showed them; I did them suddenly, and they came to pass… I have even from the beginning declared it to thee; before it came to pass I showed it thee: lest thou shouldest say, Mine idol hath done them, and my graven image, and my molten image, hath commanded them.”
This is the purpose of prophecy. The people had been worshipping idols and false gods, and God was saying to them, but your false gods cannot accurately predict to you the future and the things that will come to pass, and so God told the prophet Isaiah these things and revealed them so that when they come to pass, His people would know that He is the one who declared the end from the beginning and He alone was God. Revelation 19:10 “And I fell at his feet to worship him. And he said unto me, See thou do it not: I am thy fellowservant, and of thy brethren that have the testimony of Jesus: worship God: for the testimony of Jesus is the spirit of prophecy.”
So we must be aware of the Word of God. Christ was in His ministry for 42 months, died on the cross, was buried and then raised form the dead on the third day, then ascended into heaven from the
Mount of Olives. (Acts 1:3-12)
While the disciples watched Jesus rise into heaven, an angel spoke to them in Acts 1:10-11. “And while they looked stedfastly toward heaven as he went up, behold, two men stood by them in white apparel; Which also said, Ye men of
Galilee, why stand ye gazing up into heaven? this same Jesus, which is taken up from you into heaven, shall so come in like manner as ye have seen him go into heaven.” As Jesus ascended from the Mount of Olives, He will one day return there. Zechariah 14:4 “And his feet shall stand in that day upon the mount of Olives, which is before Jerusalem on the east, and the mount of Olives shall cleave in the midst thereof toward the east and toward the west, and there shall be a very great valley; and half of the mountain shall remove toward the north, and half of it toward the south.” There is a major fault line running across the Mount of Olives that was discovered since became a nation again. This only authenticates that which the prophet spoke thousands of years ago. So today, no buildings are built upon that fault line. Israel
Note this prophecy. Acts 3:20-21 “And he shall send Jesus Christ, which before was preached unto you: Whom the heaven must receive until the times of restitution of all things, which God hath spoken by the mouth of all his holy prophets since the world began.” According to Peter, the heavens would receive Jesus until the time of the restitution of all things. What did that mean in the Greek language? This same terminology was used by Josephus the historian and others. They used this term to describe the Hebrew people coming out of Egyptian bondage back to the Promised Land. One of the writers used it to describe the people returning to
from the Babylonian captivity. So, the restitution of all things, spoken of by the mouth of the holy prophets, since the world began had to do with the return of the people to the Israel land of Israel.
The Hebrew people were dispersed under several occasions. In the time of the Babylonians, Nebuchadnezzar came and destroyed the temple and burned the city and took the people into captivity. Then under Ezra and Nehemiah, they returned to rebuild
Jerusalem. In 70A.D. the Romans destroyed the temple and the people were scattered. Then some 19 centuries passed and the Jewish people began to return to the Promised Land. This is a fulfillment of what Peter spoke of in Acts 3. This is the beginning of the restitution of all things.
The timing of the return of the Lord and the events prophesied in the Bible is summed up in the city of
Jerusalem. The Bible reveals that major things will happen in the last days in regards to this city. Luke 21:24 “And they shall fall by the edge of the sword, and shall be led away captive into all nations: and .” That means that the Gentiles would be in control of the city of Jerusalem shall be trodden down of the Gentiles, until the times of the Gentiles be fulfilled Jerusalem until just before the return of the Lord. We know in history that they Romans, the Byzantines, the Muslims, the Marmalukes, the Turks and the British all had control of the city of Jerusalem. Then in 1967 after the Six Day War, the divided city was once again united and became the capitol of Jerusalem.
James 5:7-8 “Be patient therefore, brethren, unto the coming of the Lord. Behold, the husbandman waiteth for the precious fruit of the earth, and hath long patience for it, until he receive the early and latter rain. Be ye also patient; stablish your hearts: for the coming of the Lord draweth nigh.” This verse predicts that about the time the Lord would return there would be a great harvest of souls into the kingdom of God and also the early and latter rain. In that day, there was in the natural what was called the early and latter rain. There was rain that began in the fall and another than began in the spring and usually in the summer there was a dry spell. Joel 2:23 predicts the outpouring of the Holy Spirit. “Be glad then, ye children of
.” Acts 2:17 “And it shall come to pass in the last days, saith God, I will pour out of my Spirit upon all flesh: and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, and your young men shall see visions, and your old men shall dream dreams:” Sometimes by the Holy Spirit, you pray in another language, given by the spirit of God. John 14:16, 16:7 “And I will pray the Father, and he shall give you another Comforter, that he may abide with you for ever;… Nevertheless I tell you the truth; It is expedient for you that I go away: for if I go not away, the Comforter will not come unto you; but if I depart, I will send him unto you.” Zion, and rejoice in the LORD your God: for he hath given you the former rain moderately, and he will cause to come down for you the rain, the former rain, and the latter rain in the first month
This is the proof and evidence that Jesus is raised from the dead. Praying in a language you never learned or studied. It is proof that Jesus made it back to heaven. Doesn’t matter your background, but it is an evidence that Jesus will return. All over the world, many are receiving the baptism of the Holy Spirit.
Before Christ could return, these things were prophesied that had to occur. (1) Jerusalem must be the capitol of Israel, (2) The Gentiles must lose control of the city, (3) there would be a great outpouring of the Holy Spirit, (4) Matthew 24:14 “And this gospel of the kingdom shall be preached in all the world for a witness unto all nations; and then shall the end come.” This is now taking place.
2 Thessalonians 2:7 “For the mystery of iniquity doth already work: only he who now letteth will let, until he be taken out of the way.” This is another condition of the Lord’s return. Daniel 8:23 is another. “And in the latter time of their kingdom, when the transgressors are come to the full, a king of fierce countenance, and understanding dark sentences, shall stand up.” There must be a fullness of iniquity where the sins are so great in the earth that God says enough is enough and sends judgment for the evil in the hearts of men. God spoke this to Abraham. Genesis 15:14, 16 “And also that nation, whom they shall serve, will I judge: and afterward shall they come out with great substance… But in the fourth generation they shall come hither again: for the iniquity of the Amorites is not yet full.” The message was, when the iniquity of the Amorites is complete, I will bring your descendants out of
and give them the land. Egypt
Revelation 19:15 “And out of his mouth goeth a sharp sword, that with it he should smite the nations: and he shall rule them with a rod of iron: and he treadeth the winepress of the fierceness and wrath of Almighty God.” The winepress of the wrath of God becomes full and then the judgment comes. When you hear of iniquity and sin, it is a sign. When it is complete, He will judge the earth, but protect His people.
Let us consider the fullness of the Gentiles. Romans 11:25 “For I would not, brethren, that ye should be ignorant of this mystery, lest ye should be wise in your own conceits; that blindness in part is happened to Israel, until the fulness of the Gentiles be come in.” The Gentiles will preach the gospel around the world, then go into apostasy and their time will be fulfilled. Matthew 24:3, 6, 13-14, 31 “And as he sat upon the mount of Olives, the disciples came unto him privately, saying, Tell us, when shall these things be? and what shall be the sign of thy coming, and of the end of the world?.. And ye shall hear of wars and rumours of wars: see that ye be not troubled: for all these things must come to pass, but the end is not yet… But he that shall endure unto the end, the same shall be saved. And this gospel of the kingdom shall be preached in all the world for a witness unto all nations; and then shall the end come… And he shall send his angels with a great sound of a trumpet, and they shall gather together his elect from the four winds, from one end of heaven to the other.” Doesn’t mean everyone will hear or all will turn to Christ, but that nations will be impacted and hear the gospel.
Then, there is this verse. Psalm 102:16 “When the LORD shall build up
.” Call this the fullness of Zion, he shall appear in his glory Jerusalem. The city is being built up. God is building up the city of Zion, an old name for Jerusalem.
Since 9/11 and all the negative things, more people are open to hear the prophetic word, around the world. People want to hear what the Bible says about the end times and prophecy. What the Bible predicted has been happening and will continue to happen. The final controversy will come over the
Temple Mount in Jerusalem. Prophecy is a proof that Jesus is alive and on the throne.
